Compliance & risk
Controls applied to every file, without exception.
We are not a certifying body and we do not replace your legal or customs counsel. What we do is apply a consistent internal standard so that avoidable failures are caught before they become losses.
Documentation standards
Every shipment file is assembled to the same structure and reviewed for internal consistency before release.
- Commercial invoice, packing list and transport document reconciled against the purchase order
- HS classification reviewed with the appointed licensed customs broker
- Certificates of origin and destination-specific certifications prepared before departure
- Version-controlled file retained for the duration of the engagement
Provider verification
Counterparties are verified before commercial terms are discussed, and re-checked when scope or volume changes materially.
- Legal registration and standing confirmed in the counterparty's jurisdiction
- Operating history, capacity and facility confirmation
- Screening against applicable restricted-party lists prior to engagement
- Bank details confirmed through an independent channel before payment
Invoice controls
Payment instructions are the most common point of fraud in cross-border trade. They are treated accordingly.
- Invoice matched line-by-line to the agreed term sheet and purchase order
- Any change of banking instruction re-verified by a second channel and second person
- Payment released against defined milestones, not against pressure
- Discrepancies documented and resolved in writing before release
Vanter Group does not provide legal, tax or licensed customs-brokerage advice. Clearance is executed by licensed brokers in each jurisdiction and clients remain responsible for their own regulatory obligations.
